New York Delhi was founded by Nina and Eugene, two Art School friends with a love of great food!

Inspired by Nina’s Grandmother’s amazing spice recipes they launched NYD with their top-end range of Magic Spices in London’s Fortnum & Masons.

Soon their Magic Spices became the inspiration behind their ViPnuts, a gourmet range of flavoured peanuts in a growing range of delicious varieties and striking formats. Now you can find Very Important Peanuts, King Cashews, Barista Bites, Wasabi ViPeas and other NYD snacks in over 22 countries Worldwide.

A brief history of the amazing Peanut. From out of the mists of time to ViPnuts!

Peanuts have their first recorded origins 3500 years ago in South America. From there the Peanut journeyed to Europe, Asia and Africa before going on to be a staple of everyday life.

In the 18th Century the Peanut arrived in the US near South Carolina and quickly became a key ingredient in local cooking and an essential resource during the American Civil War.

In the late 1800’s it was made an overnight success by legendary circus pioneer P.T. Barnum. As the World moved into the 20th century roasted peanuts soon became a firm fixture at sports grounds, cinemas and stores.

Today ViPnuts are our unique take on one of the Planet’s favourite snacks!
